Jaclyn Pugh, MSN, APRN, ANP-BC, is a board-certified Adult Nurse Practitioner with nearly 20 years of specialized cardiovascular experience. She provides comprehensive outpatient cardiology care with a focus on prevention, early intervention, and evidence-based management of cardiovascular disease.

Prior to joining Citrus Cardiology Consultants, Jaclyn spent more than a decade practicing in cardiothoracic surgery, caring for patients throughout the entire surgical journey—from preoperative evaluation and optimization to serving as an intraoperative first assist alongside cardiovascular surgeons, followed by postoperative management and long-term follow-up. This experience provides a unique understanding of complex cardiovascular disease, surgical decision-making, and recovery.

Today, Jaclyn works closely with the physicians at Citrus Cardiology Consultants to provide comprehensive cardiovascular care while collaborating with interventional cardiologists, electrophysiologists, structural heart specialists, and cardiothoracic surgeons to ensure patients receive seamless, coordinated care. She has extensive experience preparing and educating patients before and after cardiovascular procedures, helping them better understand their diagnosis, treatment options, and recovery.

Jaclyn has a special interest in preventive cardiology and cardiometabolic health, recognizing the important relationship between obesity, diabetes, hypertension, cholesterol management, nutrition, exercise, and cardiovascular disease. She has helped develop an integrated referral pathway for patients who may benefit from nutrition services and advanced weight management as part of reducing cardiovascular risk.

She believes that listening, educating, and partnering with patients leads to the best outcomes. Her goal is for every patient to leave their visit feeling informed, supported, and confident in their treatment plan.
